CBI Greenville Helps Fight Food Insecurity by Volunteering with Project Host

Each year our CBI Greenville office volunteers with Project Host, an organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity in the greater Greenville area by feeding the hungry, training and educating the un- and underemployed and paying it forward to neighbors in need.

This year the Greenville Team decided it was more important than ever to join forces and try to provide some support for community members in the area. The CBI Team gave their time to go volunteer in person at Project Host and lend an extra hand wherever it was needed. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were a few extra restrictions this year, but the team still found ways to offer support by bagging lunches, handing them out to guests, cleaning up around the facility and ensuring enough lunches were prepared for the next day.

Bowman Still, a member of CBI’s Business Development Team, said “This year it was a no-brainer for us to offer up our time to the organization we’ve all come to appreciate. Project Host serves more than 250 underserved Greenville patrons per day providing hot meals, snacks, water, socks, masks and more. The gratitude that Project Host shows our CBI Team for volunteering year after year is what keeps us coming back. We have a special place in our hearts for the people who dedicate their lives to serving the underserved and homeless in Greenville, and we will continue to support them however we can.”

CBI and the Live Love Serve Foundation are extremely proud of our Associates in Greenville and their willingness to live by our Live Love Serve Philosophy. If you’d like to find out more about Project Host and how you might be able to support this outstanding organization visit www.projecthost.org.
