Earlier this month, CBI Workplace Solutions hosted a Spring Cleaning Sale to raise money for the Live Love Serve Foundation. The Spring Cleaning Sale was a four day event in which CBI sold excess furniture and accessories to associates and coalition partners at discounted prices. The sale raised approximately $3,000 for the Live Love Serve Foundation, CBI’s sister organization that provides financial support, volunteerism, and advocacy for individuals, religious organizations and other charities primarily in the communities CBI Workplace Solutions operates.
Connie Engelbrecht, CBI’s Director of Client & Community Engagement, organized the event.
“We did it in a very safe manner,” says Connie. “Items were placed an appropriate distance apart in the warehouse and masks and hand sanitizer were provided to all individuals who entered the sale. We had a wonderful turnout of about 30 different groups of partners and associates, and many of the beautiful items that had been sitting in our warehouse found new homes by the end of the sale.”
Items that were not sold during the sale were donated, in true Live Love Serve fashion. There were tables, chairs and bookcases that went to Beds for Kids, a local organization that helps families in need furnish their living spaces. The Live Love Serve Foundation is engrained in CBI’s corporate culture and is a unique part of our history. Our leadership and our Associates are passionate about living a God centered life focused on love by serving our local communities. We are proud of the work our team puts into living out this philosophy each and every day and will continue to find new ways to support and grow the Live Love Serve Foundation.
