Partnership Spotlight: Blue Angels Foundation

The Live Love Serve Foundation is a proud partner of the Blue Angels Foundation, an organization who makes it their mission to support wounded veterans. The individuals at the Blue Angels Foundation, work tirelessly every day to provide a path of transition for soldiers coming out of service and back into the civilian community. The men and women who proudly volunteer to serve our nation and preserve our freedoms are the same people who need our time, talent and treasure and our support in building a life full of dignity and fulfillment.

The Blue Angels Foundation works with and supports sister organizations that assist veterans in the key areas of transitional housing, counseling, PTSD resolution, permanent housing, life skills, transportation and employment. By joining hands with these partner organizations, the Blue Angels Foundation has had a huge and positive impact on understanding and resolving PTSD, saving lives and promoting positive transitions for the wounded veteran and their family.

Each year, the Blue Angels Foundation hosts two major fundraising events to help support their mission. The Blue Angels Konica Minolta Golf & Tennis Classic and the Blue Angels Foundation Annapolis Invitational.

How the Live Love Serve Foundation Partners with The Blue Angels Foundation

Last year, the Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI Workplace Solutions participated as a bronze level sponsor for the Blue Angels Konica Minolta Golf & Tennis Classic. The event benefitted wounded veterans and many CBI associates had the pleasure of attending and showing their support. At the end of the evening, the Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI Workplace Solutions’ total donation made to the cause was $82,000.

The Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI continue to work with and support the Blue Angels Foundation as they need. We are looking forward to participating in the 2021 Blue Angels Konica Minolta Golf & Tennis Classic, and we encourage you to learn more about this amazing organization by visiting www.blueangelsfoundation.org.

A Message From Our Founder

The late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” This quote remains as relevant today as it was when he first spoke these words, and this quote provided inspiration in the early stages of founding the Live Love Serve Foundation.

When my family and I formed this Foundation in 2015, it was created as an extension of CBI’s commitment to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us. Each year we continue to be blessed and in return, each year we are able to increase our reach into our local communities through our associates and the Foundation. Every day we strive to live a God-centered life focused on Love, and we do this by serving our communities through support of religious and other charitable organizations that positively impact people.

When it comes to giving we believe we should dig deep, yet when it comes to giving we also know that you cannot out give God. Watching so many of our CBI associates LOVE and SERVE others in need across our platform is extremely humbling, and I am deeply grateful for every single one of our associates who steps up in their own special way to serve others. The kindness and generosity I’ve witnessed over the past four years is simply outstanding, and I couldn’t be any more proud of how we’ve been able to build this amazing organization.

As we head into the second half of the year, I look forward to continuing our mission to Love and Serve others and positively impacting the communities in which we work and live. God calls us to Love and Serve others not expecting anything in return. Mother Teresa did not set out to become the “Mother Teresa” we came to know and love, she just wanted to love one person at a time. My challenge to everyone reading this is simply to take the first step in faith. The Live Love Serve Foundation is doing it with you, and what an impact we will have.

Partnership Spotlight: Classroom Central

The Live Love Serve Foundation is a long-term partner of Classroom Central, a local organization that distributes donated, free school supplies to thousands of teachers a year in approximately 200 schools across six school districts. Teachers are eligible to receive school supplies if they teach in one of these school districts and in a school where 50% or more of the students attending receive free or reduced lunch.

Many teachers in our area spend $500 - $1000 annually out of their own pockets to provide necessities for their students. Classroom Central aims to help with this burden by ensuring teachers have the supplies for those who need it, no matter their age. Teachers report that the supplies they receive from Classroom Central have a positive impact on student preparation, student-teacher relationships and student confidence. And 100% of teachers will tell you that Classroom Central helps improve their lives by reducing their out-of-pocket expenses.

How the Live Love Serve Foundation Partners with Classroom Central
Last school year, the Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI Workplace Solutions rallied local businesses in their vicinity to sponsor donation drives and collect school supplies that could be donated to Classroom Central. There was outstanding excitement and momentum around this initiative and various corporations, restaurants and breweries joined in to help support the effort.

Businesses that participated included:
•    SentryOne
•    Barringer Construction
•    DPR Construction
•    Infinity Ballroom
•    Old Mecklenburg Brewery
•    4001 Brewers at Yancey

In teaming together, these companies along with CBI and the Live Love Serve Foundation collected 14,155 school supplies for Classroom Central.

Although the school year may look a little different this year, Classroom Central is still working tirelessly to ensure local teachers have what they need to provide an exemplary educational experience for students. Visit their website to learn more about their mission and vision, and learn how you can help support them from home as we head into the new school year.
