Vapor Ministries COVID-19 Bridge Fund

The Live Love Serve Foundation is a proud partner of Vapor Ministries, an organization with the mission of serving hundreds of thousands of people in extreme poverty around the world by building sustainable centers for alleviating hardship and multiplying disciples in third-world environments. They do this by bringing together churches, businesses and individuals to meet needs, feed souls and elevate God in some of the poorest places on earth.

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted the work our friends at Vapor Ministries are able to perform this year. Travel has been a challenge, and donations have been limited. As a result, Vapor Ministries has begun a COVID-19 Bridge Fund to help close the gap and continue their movement forward.

Micah McElveen, Founder and CEO of Vapor Ministries says, “During this uncertain time, one thing is certain - God is in control. And His mandate for us to care for the poor and bring the gospel to the lost does not end when times get hard. In fact, this global health crisis makes our mandate even more urgent and we thank God for our solidarity with you in this.”

Vapor Ministries is resolved in their mission to continue core humanitarian services (clean water, critical care grants, food provision, and much more) and gospel proclamation efforts throughout their instrumental centers. Donations to the COVID-19 Bridge Fund will only help them complete their mission and continue to provide detrimental services in the areas that need it most. Find out more about Vapor Ministries and how you can help here. This organization is doing life changing work, and we are proud to be a partner.

Partnership Spotlight: The Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage

The Live Love Serve Foundation is a proud partner of the Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage. The Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage is an outstanding organization committed to education, awareness, prevention and training especially by teaching young people the warning signs of abuse. Jan and Ron Kimble founded the organization in 2013, a year after their daughter Jamie was killed by her ex-boyfriend in an act of intimate partner violence. Since then, Jan and Ron have committed themselves to telling Jamie’s story and using it to prevent intimate partner violence and encourage healthy relationships in the lives of youth and young adults.

The mission of the Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage is to create a future without intimate partner violence. The Jamie Kimble Foundation funds initiatives with defined outcomes that prevent intimate partner violence and provides educational curriculum to promote awareness and provide credible research for the exploration of innovative methods that stop intimate partner violence.

How the Live Love Serve Foundation Partners with the Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage

“When we learned the story of Jamie Kimble and about the work her parents were doing through the foundation, we immediately realized this was an organization we wanted to support,” says David Longo, Founder of the Live Love Serve Foundation and Founder and CEO of CBI. “It is extremely important to educate the young people in our community to be able to recognize signs of intimate partner violence in an effort to prevent other stories like Jamie’s.”

The Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI donated workplace consulting services and furniture to outfit the Foundation’s new offices located on E. Third Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. Additionally, the Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI’s Associates presented the Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage a $10,000 donation to support their mission.

Sherrill Carrington, Executive Director of the Jamie Kimble Foundation says, “Thank you again for your generous support of JKFFC! The office furniture is beautiful! From beginning to end our experience with the Live Love Serve Foundation, CBI and your staff was nothing but engaging supportive and creative. We are extremely appreciate as your gift allows for a great space for us to create, collaborate and continue our work.”

What it Means to Love and Serve Clients, Associates & Community

Each year, the Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI Workplace Solutions recognize several special individuals who go above and beyond to love, serve and inspire their local communities. These individuals embody our mission of living a God centered life focused on love, while serving through support of religious, educational and other charitable organizations that positively impact people in their communities.

To qualify for this award, the individual must be a CBI Associate who has been loving and serving their community for at least a year. Award recipients are nominated by their peers, selected by a committee and recognized at the end of the year at CBI’s annual holiday event.

The Live Love Serve Foundation Award is very special to us and we look forward to honoring our Associates who go above and beyond for others on a regular basis. As we head into the second half of 2020, we wanted to highlight our award recipients from last year.
