Helping in a Time of Crisis

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” – Coretta Scott King

Now more than ever is the time for our community to come together and support one another. As the COVID-19 crisis continues, many individuals, small businesses and charitable organizations are seeing tremendous financial and emotional impacts. The Live Love Serve Foundation has identified some of our key partners who have mobilized to assist our neighbors most impacted during this crisis. We encourage you to read more about their efforts and offer your support in any way possible.

Second Harvest Foodbank of Metrolina – Second Harvest Food Bank is seeking monetary donations that will help them buy healthy, shelf stable items for food boxes to help feed families whose children are missing school meals. Donate at this link, or click here to sign-up to volunteer your time packing boxes.

Classroom Central – Classroom Central is collecting donations to create school supply kits, which will be distributed to children in need at meal distribution sites. Learn more and donate here

Charlotte Rescue Mission – Instead of serving a meal at the mission, why not sponsor one? The Charlotte Rescue Mission invites individuals or groups to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and feed the hungry by sponsoring a meal for the 269 men, women and children currently living under its roof. Find out more here.

Is your organization mobilizing to help others during the COVID-19 crisis? Let us know how and we will mention you on our blog and look for ways to lend our support.
