When David Longo, President/CEO of CBI Workplace Solutions started the Live Love Serve Foundation, his vision was to create a strong, compassionate organization that served not only the local communities in which CBI operates but also the internal community that CBI is built upon. Since beginning CBI in 1993, David has built numerous teams and managed associates from all different backgrounds. It became apparent to him early on that most individuals fall upon hard times at some point or another in their lives. David realized as he built his company, that he wanted CBI to be an organization that could offer its employees more than the standard benefits you see in other organizations.
This is why the Live Love Serve Foundation’s philosophy starts at home with CBI associates.
“A key element of the Live Love Serve concept is to ensure that as a company we are able to provide support beyond our primary company benefits, to our own colleagues during their times of need,” says David Longo. “This includes helping CBI associates in extreme circumstances by providing financial assistance, counseling services and/or emotional and physical support when they need it most.”
A few examples of how the Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI Workplace Solutions provide assistance to associates include:
Automobile Accidents – The Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI have provided financial support and alternative transportation for associates who lose their vehicles because of a car accident.
Financial Hardships – Financial crisis makes it difficult to keep food on the table for a family. The Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI have provided temporary and long-term financial support to associates experiencing financial hardships.
Bill Pay Assistance – Unexpected emergencies might make it hard for an associate to cover medical bills, mortgage payments, rent or utilities payments. The Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI have assisted associates in need with these types of payments in emergency situations.
Health and Well-being – The Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI support associates who have endured traumatic experiences and will often organize financial or emotional counseling for associates, free-of-charge.
Education – The Live Love Serve Foundation and CBI provide financial aid and/or scholarships to employees or family members of employees who are pursuing educational opportunities.
Using our time, talent and treasure to support those at home first is what makes our organization strong enough to support those outside of our CBI walls and within our local communities. The Live Love Serve Foundation wouldn’t be what it is today without the strength of CBI, its associates and their families, and we will always be there to support them no matter the need.
